Heavy medium separation is commonly used in tin processing, which is mainly used for ore pre separation, that is, the preliminary separation of coarse concentrate, the commonly used gravity separation equipment is shaking table, jig machine, spiral concentrator, centrifugal concentrator, belt chute and so on. At present, the shaking table is the main equipment in the tin processing plant, which is used for the treatment of 0.037-2mm fine cassiterite. The high concentration ratio of the shaking table can not only collect the high-grade concentrate, but also separate the final tailings. At present, most of the tin concentrate sent for smelting is the shaking table separation products. Jig machine are mostly used to separate coarse and medium-grained cassiterite; spiral concentrators are used to effectively recover 0.074-1 mm grain sized cassiterite; for slimes less than 37μm, centrifugal concentrators and belt chutes are mainly used for separation.
The application of flotation in tin ore processing mainly has the following three aspects:
First, it is used for flotation separation, recovery and removal of various associated sulfide minerals;
Second, it is used for separation and recovery of associated minerals in coarse concentrate cleaning;
Third, the flotation of tin minerals, fine cassiterite is mainly flotation from mud. Magnetic separation and electrostatic separation are mainly used in the separation process of tin coarse concentrate, separating and recovering various associated minerals with similar specific gravity to cassiterite.
